WE ARE A SMALL ANGLICAN OUTPOST IN MISSION, TX

St. John Chrysostom Anglican Church is dedicated to providing a traditional, orthodox expression of Christianity in the upper Rio Grande Valley. The doors of our historic church building are open to all, giving access to a space dedicated to the purpose of worshipping Almighty God in the beauty of holiness.

With God's help, we devote ourselves to

  • Holy Communion every Lord's Day (Sunday)

  • Sabbath rest on Saturdays and celebrating feast days

  • prayer, fasting, and confessing our sins to Almighty God

  • studying scripture and the wisdom of ancient fathers

Doing so, we seek to

  • grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (II Peter 3:18)

  • discern what is pleasing to the Lord (Ephesians 5:10)

  • be full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another (Romans 15:14)

We do not do these things to earn God's favor.

It is only by grace that we are saved through faith, and not of our own doing, but by God's gift. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
